Google Chrome is the best browser for accessing your Communitas account. In addition, setting up Google Chrome to use separate profiles for your personal account and your Communitas account keeps those accounts separate - bookmarks, history, passwords, and other settings. Check out this video to see how to set it up for your Communitas account. For more detailed directions, follow the steps in the article below.

Setup your phone to log onto your @christianassociates.org account.
If you have an Android phone, make sure that you have set up your @christianassociates.org account under “Password & Accounts” in Settings.
If you have an iPhone, make sure that you have installed Google app (from the AppStore) and logged into your @christianassociates.org account in it.
Once logged in (nexus.christianassociates.org), open a browser tab to: https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/two-step-verification/enroll-welcome
Follow the prompts to set up your phone for 2FV prompts (if you have set up your phone according to Step 2).
When asked about backup codes, copy them down and later print them or save them to your password manager.
At the end of the process, you can choose other methods 2FV - authentication apps, secure keys. You cannot choose text messages to your phone.

Forgetting your password can be one of the worst things to happen - and it always seems to happen at the absolute worst possible time. If you have a secure, non-Communitas email address - or a cell phone - you can set up your account to recover your password on your own. Simply follow these simple directions from Google.

In order to use the BambooHR mobile app, you will need to add BambooHR's 2 Step Login to your account. This can only be done through your browser from nexus.christianassociates.org. Once set up, 2 Step Login will only affect logging into BambooHR on your phone. It will not affect logging in through your browser (nexus.christianassociates.org). Instructions on setting up 2 Step Login in BambooHR can be found here.
Install the mobile app for BambooHR on your phone. For iPhone, the app is here. For Android, the app is here.
Open the BambooHR app and enter your @christianassociates.org account. Then tap "Continue" and log in with "Login with Google" button and follow the prompts. You will be prompted for a 2 Step Login code using the method you set up in step 1 (Authenticator, SMS, backup codes).
Once logged one, follow these directions to further set up the mobile app. If you turn on FaceID or fingerprint authentication, you will not be prompted for a 2 Step Login code in the future.
Note: BambooHR 2 Step Login is different from the Two Factor Verification (2FV) set up with your Google Workspace account. 2 Step Login ONLY affects your BambooHR account when accessed through the mobile app.
If you are using Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or other computer-based program, you can set it up to check your Communitas email. You can also send from those programs. Configure your email program according to the directions provided by Google.
Note: When asked for login information, make sure to use your @christianassociates.org account information.

Many people communicate with their supporters and ministry partners using a non-Communitas email account. Fortunately, you can set up your Communitas email to forward all email to non-Communitas email.

Because Communitas is a distributed community, security is a must. We recommend the following basic security measures:
Strong passwords - Passwords of at least 12 characters are encouraged. In addition, it is recommended to use at least one of each of the following in your password: upper case letter, lower case letter, number. Instructions on changing your password can be found here: EN DE ES FR IT NL PL PT RU SV
Password manager - Do you have problems remembering passwords? Do you tend to use the same passwords on different websites? Start using a password manager. Not only does it keep track of which passwords you use on which sites, it can also create strong passwords for you. If you aren't using one yet, check out BitWarden - its free version allows you to synchronize your passwords between your computer, phone and tablet.
Recovery address - You can easily set up an alternative email address to recover your @christianassociates.org password. The directions can be found on this page.
Multi-factor authentication - We encourage you to install Google Authenticator on your phone (if you do not yet have an authentication program). Then, follow the directions found at this link to turn it on for your account:
